Hand in hand with modernity

This noble drink "for health" has been enjoyed centuries ago. We also know that drinking wine (in reasonable amounts) ensures a longer and healthier life, creating products of the Potęga Tradycji brand from Konin. Hence the idea to produce fruit wines based on traditional recipes.

Old recipes plus a technological process based on the traditional fermentation method plus high-quality raw materials and modern management of the creation process result in the highest quality and extraordinary taste and smell. This is how traditional fruit wines are made under the Potęga Tradycji brand. The company cooperates with fruit growers from almost all over Poland, ensuring that the fruit used for production is of the highest quality.

Recalling Wincenta Zawadzka, "fruit wine is a tradition of our cuisine", we are trying to bring fruit wines back to our tables.

We have introduced a group of wines made from Polish fruit to the market, including: chokeberry, cherry, blackcurrant, plum, rowan, wild rose and strawberry. This group includes, among others: ecological wines, while blackcurrant wine is included in the list of traditional and regional products at the Ministry of Agriculture (link to the website). The company has been a member of the Greater Poland Culinary Heritage network since 2012 (link to the website). In winter we offer mulled wine.

Efforts for tradition, safety and health

Power of Tradition cooperates with the Medical University of Warsaw and has subjected its products to tests entitled: "Assessment of the radical-scavenging ability of wine using the paramagnetic resonance method." In the conclusion of the work co-edited by prof. Iwona Wawer - head of the Department of Physical Chemistry of this university - states that "VIN-KON's cherry and chokeberry fruit wines performed surprisingly well compared to grape wines, which confirms that both types of fruit are comparable to dark grapes. Both cherry and chokeberry fruits are characterized by a high content of polyphenols, including anthocyanins. The test results confirm the opinion that dark-colored fruits and their products (e.g. wine) are an excellent source of antioxidants and should be a frequent item in the menu.

For those who do not know why radicals should be "scavenged", let us explain that their presence in the body is considered one of the possible causes of diseases of the circulatory system and nervous system. The results of research by Warsaw scientists confirm the belief that red wine, including fruit wine and from Konin, can prevent heart and nervous ailments.
